HEZI ARIS, A YONKERS JOURNALIST THAT, WRITES ABOUT WHAT OTHER REPORTERS WILL ONLY WHISPER ABOUT....

"It took just one homicide at that overrated Ridge Hill Shopping Center to force an overfed union leader to say the Yonkers Police Department needs more staff. Huh? Did we all miss something here? There are homicides, robberies, assaults, and constant shootings in Generation Yonkers’ favorite haunt for shopping and eating."

YONKERS TRIBUNE: Substance Abuse A Problem in Among Yonkers Police Department

"Recently, the Yonkers Police Department has seen an up-tick in substance abuse, and over the last year some of its members have allegedly succumbed to the pressure of the job.. Over the years the YPD have dismissed some of its own when medically scrutinized urine testing have proven positive for narcotics."

....How can the “so called” Yonkers PBA President Dt. Olson shake the respective hands of the membership, when his close and best drinking buddy Yonkers Police Chief John Mueller is scheming over how to gut and cut entitlements and further burden the membership with greater responsibilities to which they are not getting the tools or the personnel to accomplish what they are demanded to do....

....Perhaps this is the meaning and definition of “Generation Yonkers” living up to its name. Who would have ever thought that the Mayor Mike Spano Administration would have been able to buy off these union bosses for take home cars and job promotions and other benefits....

....People in the know have advised the Yonkers Tribune that Olson sent his membership an email putting out misinformation about an incident at which a Police Officer was found dead. On-Scene Det. Sgt. Brian Moran allegedly declared that the cause of death was a heart attack. the Medical Examiner had not made such a determination. Even doctors could not and would not conjecture about the cause of death....

....Some of the recent tragedies who suffered their alleged substance abuse issues were Pete Salva, Jr. and Daniel Egan.

It would be wise for Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano to advise that an Employee Substance Abuse person, with a considerate demeanor, and trusted to keep such an illness/addiction under wraps to protect all Yonkers employees to gain control of their addiction and to be afforded a second chance. In fact, when John Liszewski was DPW Commissioner one of his deputies who suffered from alcohol addiction crashed either two or three trucks owned by the City of Yonkers. He was not permitted to use the vehicles beyond the city borders, but he did anyway. When he returned from his favorite bar in Dobbs Ferry he drove home and crashed into cars that were parked on the street.....
