YONKERS - It's not surprising for a local Mexican restaurant to claim one of its best dishes is an Arabic taco.
At Frida's Tacos, the taco arabe ($3.50) is filled with slices of pork marinated in lemon juice and cooked in a spicy sauce.
"As far as I know, it was an Arab family that moved to Puebla and they wanted to invent their own taco that was Mexican, but had their touch," said Marco Alvarez, the chef and co-owner of Frida's Tacos in Yonkers, which opened in December......
