YONKERS: Expansion projects for three school buildings won't include air-conditioning, despite parents' requests.

The Yonkers Public Schools expects to spend millions of dollars expanding or renovating the Eugenio Maria de Hostos School, School 30 and the Khalil Gibran School to ease severe overcrowding in the district.

ROFLMAO.... Superintendent Edwin Quezada Wants Yonkers Students To Have Facilities To That Are Comparable To A Third World Bananna Republic.....

"Every parent wants air-conditioning in the schools. That's not something we can accommodate and it's not something that in reality gets in the way of learning," Edwin Quezada. "If that (were the case) I would not know anything. I come from a country and went to schools where there was never air-conditioning, so it doesn't hinder learning in any way, shape or form."

Edwin Quezada grew up in the Dominican Republic.
