Last week, the #YonkersPD conducted a speed enforcement detail with the State Police; we received a lot of positive feedback from residents and recommendations for additional target areas - we heard you!
Yesterday evening, members of the 4th Precinct and the Traffic Unit conducted an enforcement detail on Warburton Avenue. Over 25 summonses were issued for moving violations, the majority related to speeding and loud mufflers; 1 vehicle was also impounded.
Speeding and aggressive driving is dangerous - drivers who engage in this behavior put lives at risk; they also disturb the peace and degrade our quality of life. The Yonkers Police Department stands ready to stop them in their tracks.
