PRESS RELEASE: Dine And Watch The Horses At Empire City Casino and Yonkers Raceway Tonight

With the Preakness being run later today, there are a number of options for your viewing pleasure.

This year, Empire City Casino at Yonkers Raceway is offering some viewing options on the Empire Terrace and in its Dan Rooney Sports Pub.

The Empire Terrace is offering a brand-new menu starting tonight with the Art Rooney Pace, as well at the Preakness. Entrees include: Homemade Three Cheese Ravioli served with Tomato Sauce; Pan-Seared Salmon served over Shaved Fennel, Roasted Half Chicken Prepared with Vinegar Peppers in a Lemon Wine Sauce Served over Sliced Potatoes, Chicken Francese, a Chicken Scaloppini dish served with Lemon Herb Pan Sauce priced, and classic New York Strip Steak, a 12oz Premium Choice Cut served with Baked Potatoes.

All the plates are very good and well made, but the steak is exceptional. Cooked to order – personally like medium rare – which melts in your mouth. Many times, these casino restaurants offer something of less quality compared to the old-time New York steak houses, but not here. Yonkers serving is as good as many steaks you will find in the city.

And the same quality will be found in the Rooney Sports Pub. If you just want to watch the Preakness, it will be shown on one of the many TVs throughout the place. Besides New York Strip, a Rib Eye is also offered for steak connoisseurs, so there is a variety.

Salads and soups are very large portioned and deserts are also excellent.

And the service is good well, as the staff we had was very attentive to our needs and worked to have our meals out there in a quick time, making for an excellent dining experience.

If you like the horses, like to play the slots or just want a good time out, both the Empire Terrace and Dan Rooney Sports Pub are excellent options for a night out.
