YONKERS - City police are investigating a domestic dispute that turned deadly Sunday morning in what they are calling "a homicide and attempted suicide."
The incident took place before 10 a.m. at 59 Van Cortlandt Park Ave., where neighbors said a dispute in a first-floor apartment left one woman dead.
But city police would not provide details late Sunday and would not confirm the identities of the victim or the suspect in the case.
"Right now I can confirm we are investigating a homicide and attempted suicide involving a domestic couple," Yonkers police Sgt. Dean Politopoulos said in a statement. "This does not appear to be a random event and we are not looking for any additional suspects. I'll have more (information Monday) morning."....
