YONKERS, NY — January 7, 2017 — Rising Stars Performing Arts Company is currently accepting video auditions for leading roles for male/female triple threats (High School and College students) for their upcoming production of “Hairspray”. Actors must live in Westchester/N.Y.C. area and be available for all rehearsals and performances. Direct your video as soon as possible to rspacauditions@yahoo.com; by Midnight, January 15, 2017. Please designate “Hairspray Video” in the subject line, and for what part you are auditioning, e.g.: “Hairspray Video – Tracy”.
Videos should be confined to no more than 2-3 minutes in length.
RSPCA Advises that actors bear in mind that submitted videos DO NOT have to be slick, highly edited promotional masterpieces. In fact, they would much rather see a straightforward, unedited performance that shows your personality and talent, even if it is just you introducing yourself on camera and performing right in your living room or backyard.
They will only contact acts that are moving on to the next round!
Please be cognizant that rehearsals will begin on Tuesday, February 7th, from 6pm-8pm, and continue thoughout the month of February, continuing thereafter on Tuesdays, from 6pm-8pm, and Sundays, from 12pm-4pm, in March, April, and May. All rehearsals are located at the Rising Stars Performing Arts Company Studio at the Lincoln Park Jewish Center, 311 Central Park Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10704. The studio is situated directly across the street from the Empire City Casino at Yonkers Raceway.
Performances are scheduled for June 7th-11th at the Grinton Will Library in Yonkers, NY.
