The invite says ‘Grandview Caterers"’ but I can’t find a business by that name anywhere in #Yonkers.

Someone said it might actually be a Orthodox Church?

The problem with mob associated Garbageman #JoeSpiezio's newest shimmy puppet, #MikeKhader, is that he can't even be honest about where his fund raisers are held.

Hopefully Mount Vernon Mayor #RichardThomas wont have any trouble finding this "Grandview Banquette Hall" in #Yonkers, because I am sure he will want to once again be Mike Khader's Master of Ceremonies for this event.

I am driving all over Yonkers looking for this Our Lady Of The "Kilo Khader" Orthodox Church that supposedly has the great "Grandview Banquette Hall"

Someone said that this "Grandview Banquette Hall" at Our Lady Of The "Kilo Khader" Orthodox Church might, be in Riverdale in the Bronx, but I could not find it. 

So I will just keep driving around Yonkers looking for the Khader's "Grandview" Caterers

Things were so much simpler when #JoeSpiezio and Mayor #RichardThomasshowed up at the Castle Royale to kick of #MikeKhader's campaign.

Maybe if Mike "CIA agent My Ass" Khader and his brother Johnny "Kilo" Khader weren't wasting money putting six signs in front of every vacant lot in Yonkers, they might be able to afford something better than the "Grandview Banquette Hall" at Our Lady Of The "Kilo Khader" Orthodox Church. 

LOL... Maybe someone should tell the clueless Mike "CIA agent My Ass" Khader that signs are not allowed to vote in #Yonkers.

Why does #MikeKhader's invitation list a name other than the church itself… what are they trying to hide?

Some are saying that this is the is the same church, Virgin Mary Orthodox Church, whose board members issued an endorsement of Mike Khader and some families left the church?

If this is true it might explain why #MikeKhaders invitation was so cryptic and deceptive.

YONKERS - A Yonkers woman who returned from Las Vegas Monday afternoon says there are no words to explain how terrified she is by the shooting attack that killed 59 people and injured hundreds.

Vida Hernandez says she fears she will never be the same.

Hernandez went to Las Vegas to celebrate her birthday and was eating dinner at the New York-New York Hotel a few blocks away from where a lone gunman opened fire on a crowd of people.

Hernandez and her friend were put on lockdown by the SWAT team and locked in a bar until they were given the all-clear after the shooting.....

JOURNAL NEWS: Yonkers' Nepperhan Community Center hits 75 years

YONKERS - What started 75 years ago in a basement as an after-school program for children has evolved into a multi-million-dollar agency that serves thousands.

On Friday, staff, clients and supporters of the Nepperhan Community Center will celebrate the agency's evolution as they look to the future.

"Our agency has basically tried to adapt to the needs of our children and the family over the years, so that now we have become a multi-faceted agency that provides holistic services to the children and the families, and not just in Yonkers. We now have offices in the Lower Hudson Valley," said Jim Bostic​, the center's executive director since 2004.

The center began in a community room at 13 Monroe St., an area once called Nepperhan but is today known at Runyon Heights.

The agency moved a few times to 117 Palisade Ave. and 295 Warburton Ave. before arriving in 1981 at its current location at 342 Warburton Ave., a former supermarket.

Today the center has a paid full- and part-time staff of about 160, some 100 volunteers and an annual budget in the range of $4 million.

The center serves about 5,000 children and their families a week with sports, education and social-service programs t.....

NY DAILY NEWS EXCLUSIVE: Yonkers resident is the latest ex-Rikers inmate forced to spend more time in jail due to officials' blunder

Jeramy Hill was frantic as he tried explaining to city correction officers that he already did his time.

The #Yonkers resident had spent nearly 200 days in city mental health facilities before he was shipped to Rikers Island on a low-level burglary rap.

By the time he pleaded guilty, the 25-year-old had already served more than his jail sentence and was expecting to be released.

But city jail officials didn’t seem to have a record of the time he was locked up in mental hospitals and tossed him back in jail for another 24 hours.

“I was angry because I was under the impression he was just going to sign paperwork,” his mother, #DionneHill, 45, said.

His case is not unique.

Legal Aid attorneys say they saved clients from wrongfully spending 341 days in city and state lockups due to administrative snafus – just in September.

...#JeramyHill was sentenced on July 13 to a year in jail after pleading guilty in Manhattan Criminal Court to third-degree burglary.

Authorities said he stole small electronics and a backpack from the luggage room at the Roosevelt Hotel in 2016. #JeramyHill, who suffers from mental illness, was found hiding behind a curtain in the room....
