PRESS RELEASE: Organization of Staff Analysts Endorses Kat Brezler for New York State Senate

Westchester, NY – Today, the Organization of Staff Analysts (OSA), announced their endorsement of Kat Brezler to represent the 37th District in the New York State Senate. This is Brezler’s first endorsement from a labor union, but it won’t be her last.

“I’m pleased to endorse Kat Brezler for New York State Senate for District 37,” said Organization of Staff Analysts Chairman Robert J. Croghan. “I know that Kat will be an unwavering advocate for working people, fighting every day to guarantee safe working conditions, a livable wage, and good benefits. Her dedication to everyday New Yorkers is clear. We need her voice in the Senate.”

“I am honored to be endorsed by Robert Croghan and the Organization of Staff Analysts. The OSA has been organizing to protect civil servants for years, and it is dedication like theirs that inspires me to run for office to better champion their needs. Their fight is our fight. I hope to continue their tireless work for hard working New Yorkers as State Senator,” said Kat Brezler, candidate for State Senate.

OSA joins elected officials and district leaders in New Rochelle in endorsing Kat Brezler for New York State Senate, including New Rochelle Council Member Jared Rice and New Rochelle District Leaders Jason Mandella, Jamie Cass, Suzanne Arena and Thomas Dargan.

OSA represents employees of the City of New York in the Analyst title series serving in more than 50 City agencies, as well as other municipal employees in a range of professional titles. OSA is a member of the Municipal Labor Committee, a coalition of unions representing the majority of New York City employees.

Kat Brezler is a candidate for New York State Senate District 37, which covers the cities of New Rochelle, Rye, White Plains, Yonkers and the towns of Harrison, Mamaroneck, North Castle, Rye, Eastchester, and Tuckahoe . As a second grade public school teacher and activist for over a decade, Kat has fought for justice in education since before she stepped inside a classroom in 2005, most recently as part of the nationwide organizing for the opt-out movement regarding school testing . During the 2016 Presidential race, she was a Bernie Sanders delegate and is the founder of People for Bernie.
