YONKERS – State Police at Hawthorne continue to investigate the murder of a woman whose body was found covered by a yellow tarp along the side of the Sprain Brook Parkway in Yonkers.
The victim was identified as Angel Serbay, 25, of Yonkers.

A passing motorist contacted police on September 3, 2005 after he saw what appeared to be a body.
She is described as Hispanic, approximately five feet, four inches tall, 138 pounds, with a tribal rose tattoo on her left upper arm, a tribal rose tattoo on her right ankle, and a tattoo with initials on her left hand. The body had been wrapped in animal print bed sheets and was wearing jeans, a blue, white and black-striped halter top and black New Balance sneakers.
Serbay was last seen near 160 Willow Street in Yonkers at about 3 a.m. on September 3, 2005.
State Police Troop K Major Crimes unit continues to investigate the homicide and has developed information that she may have been in the company of Christopher Gonzalez, who was 36 at the time.
