Yonkers stalled 361-apartment rental complex heads toward construction

YONKERS - A stalled housing development is preparing for construction now that a pollution cleanup is done.

The Yonkers Planning Board previously approved the project in 2012, but the approval expired in 2015. The property sat mostly inactive for about two years until the developer asked the Yonkers Planning Board to renew its expired site plan approval in July.

"The expiration was partially due to the site being in a New York State DEC Brownfields Program and the cleanup took longer than expected," said Jon Dahlgren of Tim Miller Associates, a consultant for DW Capital.
