Westchester County Clerk Canidate Jim Chisholm Interviewed By Yonkers Rising Editor Dan Murphy On William O'Shaughnessy's WVOX Radio Station

Jim Chisholm​ is a 34-year Somers resident, has also served as president of the Somers Chamber of Commerce and president of the Somers Lions Club. 

Jim Chisholm’s opponent is Democrat Tim Idoni​, who has served as county clerk since 2006. Before that, he served as mayor of New Rochelle for 14 years.

Jim Chisholm, on the other hand, has spent most of his political career behind the scenes.

He began his foray into Republican politics after growing up in #Yonkers three doors down from Malcolm Wilson, who served as governor of New York from 1973-74.

In 1994, the Tappan Zee Bridge was renamed in Malcolm Wilson's honor. There is also a park in Yonkers, New York named for Malcolm Wilson.

Jim Chisholm is lifelong #WestchesterCounty resident, he has also lived in #Eastchester and #Bedford before moving to #Somers about three decades ago.

Jim Chisholm currently serves as chairman of the Westchester County Parks, Recreation and Conservation Board. He has also served as chairman of the Playland Citizens Committee.

Jim Chisholm is chairman of the Somers Republican Committee, which endorses, raises funds and backs candidates for local office. In 2008, he received Chairman of the Year honors from the Westchester Republican Committee.

Jim Chisholm has a bachelor’s degree from St. Louis University and an MBA from Iona College.

Professionally, Jim Chisholm is the former president and CEO of United Processing Corp., which processes credit card transactions for many local businesses. He founded the company 20 years ago and sold it last year.

Shortly after selling his company, Jim Chisholm joined the New York State Board of Elections, focusing on integrity in the voting process.
