PRESS RELEASE: Yonkers Police Department Seeks Help In Eliminating Gun Violence - Take Advantage Of Their Gun Tips Hotline

YONKERS: The “Gun Tips Hotline” program is to take illegal handguns off Yonkers streets.

It is completely anonymous and no questions will be asked.

This is not a gun buyback program and no arrest or conviction is required.

Individuals with information on the location of illegal handguns can call the anonymous tip line at 914-377-GUNS and the caller will receive a confidential identification number.

The caller will be instructed to call back at a later time and if a gun was recovered, the caller will be given a second identification number and advised to respond to a specific bank to collect the reward money of $500.00.

Since it’s inception, the Yonkers Police Department Gun Tips Hotline program has removed over 100 illegal guns from Yonkers city streets.
