Samantha Ann Vega and Anthony Ryan Buckland were married Oct. 7 at Immaculate Conception Church in the Bronx. The Rev. Frank Skelly, a Roman Catholic priest, performed the ceremony.
Mrs. Buckland, 29, is a legal secretary in Manhattan for the Sullivan Law Firm. She graduated summa cum laude from Monroe College in New York.
She is the daughter of Lillian Tapia and Jose R. Vega of the Bronx. The bride’s father is a track worker in the Bronx for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Her mother is a bookkeeper in Manhattan for the New York City Police Department.
Mr. Buckland, 27, is a public safety officer in New York for Summit Security. He also graduated from Monroe College.
He is a son of Adrianna Diaz of Dingman’s Ferry, Pa., and the late Donald E. Buckland. The groom’s mother is a court officer for the Yonkers Police Department in Yonkers.
The couple met in September 2011 while working at an Applebee’s restaurant in the Bronx.
