JOURNAL NEWS VIDEO: Pelham start-up Burbio attracts local investment fund


YONKERS: Mayor Mike Spano announced last month that Yonkers had adopted Burbio's calendar so all of its school and nonprofit events would be available on the platform.....

A Pelham-based start-up tech company has gotten the attention of a regional investment business.

The Hudson Valley Startup Fund, a Kingston-based company, announced it invested in Burbio, a digital master calendar platform, to help develop the product's technology and marketing, according to a press release. The investment amount was not disclosed.

Burbio was cofounded by Dennis and Julie Roche to create a uniform calendar for school activities, library events and other social commitments.

In March, the company updated its software to sync with Amazon voice technology so Burbio users can ask questions aloud about their agenda to "Alexa" on devices like the Echo.....
