UpdateMissing Yonkers Man Found Safe
A 54-year-old Westchester man who went missing late Tuesday night has been found and is safe, the New York State Public Safety Department said on Friday afternoon.
Salvador De La Rosa returned home on his own, the department said.

A New York State Missing Vulnerable Adult Alert has been issued Wednesday morning relating to the disappearance of a 54-year-old Westchester man.
Salvador De La Rosa of Yonkers was last seen on Scarsdale Road in the city of Yonkers on Tuesday, Sept. 5 at 8:30 p.m. He was wearing a black shirt with yellow writing, black sweatpants and black Nike sneakers.
He is described as being 5-foot-7, 220 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call the Yonkers City Police Department Detective Division at 914-377-7900 or 911.

Authorities Track Down Yonkers Man Charged With Stabbing Pit Bull In Back

A 26-year-old man was arrested and charged Tuesday after the Humane Law Enforcement Unit of the SPCA and Yonkers Police say he stabbed an eight-month pit bull in the back. Deshawn Williams of Yonkers was charged with animal cruelty.
