YONKERS TRIBUNE: Mayor Mike Spano Asserts Yonkers on Positive Footing

YONKERS, NY — March 22, 2017 — Mayor Mike Spano presented the State of the City to a hungry audience who punctuated every sentence with enthusiastic applause that would in time fade from its initial exuberance. The list of accomplishments were expressed ad nauseum, as they have under his reign year after year devoid of proof, yet extolled as if real and credible. Hiding behind the accomplishments of the men and women of blue was Mayor Spano’s assertion that the City of Yonkers (CoY) was recognized as the second safest city in the nation of cities of equal size. Mayor Spano delighted in stating that CoY had been ranked higher than last year when it is suggested the city was judged in third place. Assertions with no proof; but it sounds wonderful.....
